WALKING ON THE CHAMPS-ELYSÉES...
A wordless performance on location of the young Flemish collective FC Bergman which is somewhere between a mass spectacle and a theater piece. A large factory hall of C-Mill, the machines that the artists made themselves and forty supporting actors from the region play an important role.
This exceptional performance was applauded in Belgium and was sold out almost every night. In the Netherlands the show went also not unnoticed. Walking on the Champs-Elysees... is part of the Official Jury Selection of the Dutch Theatre Festival and therefore may be called one of the ten best performances of the season 2009-2010!
Walking on the Champs-Elyées with a turtle to have a better look at the world, but i'ts difficult drinking tea on an ice floe when everyone is drunk starts here and now. It takes a look at the man as he is, was and probably always will be: scared, lonely and sinful as deep as the sea. It is in short a story about us and, we suspect, also about YOU.
The performance is inspired by Dante's La Divina Commedia, the book in which the author describes his journey to the center of hell. We follow a group of terrified people who construct their own mini-hell, in order not to be unprepared for the moment they meet Lucifer when the time has come. Because is it not written somewhere that for what one has sinned ‘above’, one will be punished ‘down’ in inverse proportion?

Tickets
Tickets can be booked via this website and Parkstad Limburg Theaters Heerlen. On the evening of the show you can collect your tickets at C-Mill - 5, Jan Campertstraat in Heerlen from 19h30 to 20h15.
The tickets are € 12,50 (HOUSEfriends, CJP, students and 65 + CKV: € 10,-). You can only pay cash (there is no ATM).

From Heerlen Central Station a bus leaves every 30 minutes and stops at a 4 minutes walking distance of C-mill: line 29 (direction Kerkrade Stadium) of bus company Veolia. Get off at Kerkraderweg / Guido Gezellestra Heerlen.

- A76/E314 exit Aachen / Heerlen
- At Ten Esschen exit, follow N281
- Exit Maastricht / APG
- At traffic lights turn left at Welterlaan, which turns into the Ruys de Beerenbroucklaan
- At the end of the Ruys de Beerenbrouklaan turn right into the St. Franciscusweg
- At the roundabout drive up the Molenberglaan which turns into the Kerkraderweg
- At the roundabout turn left into the Jan Campertstraat
